Our 'Emma'

Emma is the personified locomotive in the children's novel 'Jim Button and Luke the Engine Driver' written by Michael Ende. Just like in the novel our Truck is supposed to take us on a long trip.

So who is our Emma? Emma is a Mercedes Truck AK 914 built in 1995 as a prototype. The car was used as a surveying vehicle before it was converted into a sort camper in 2009.

Size does not matter, but ...

Emma is probaby not as big as a locomotive but still pretty impressive.
  • 3,5 m high
  • 2,5 m wide
  • 7 m long
  • 6,5 tons empty weight

Engine & Transmission

Emma is powered by 6 liter engine with 140 horse power. The 5-speed-gearbox has a reduction.
